Klaviyo: The perfect email solution for eCommerce

Klaviyo: The perfect email solution for eCommerce

Are you an eCommerce business looking for a new email platform? We’ve got exactly what you are looking for and the solution is called Klaviyo. Unlike other email solutions, they are a marketing automation platform built explicitly for eCommerce and online merchants to deliver personalized and better journeys for their customers. Klaviyo isn’t the most affordable email solution, and in fact, it costs twice as expensive vs. other industry-standard ESPs. However, the platform was designed for growth-minded marketers and Ematic still fancy them because they allow you to connect your e-store in a few clicks, and all of your customer’s data, including the historical, will get synced in real-time so you can act on them immediately. Moreover, they also have pre-built integrations with dozens of eCommerce apps that allow you to comfortably “plug and play” which for some marketers would be a game-changer as that will reduce a fair amount of costly integration processes and makes trying new apps more straightforward. Other reasons why we think Klaviyo is excellent: Klaviyo has direct integrations with almost all major eCommerce players, including Shopify, Magento, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, WooCommerce, BigCommerce, and many more. They also have dozens of other pre-built integrations with popular eCommerce apps that you are probably using today. From CRM, Review, Referral, Loyalty, Helpdesk, Analytics, etc. They have it all. You can set up welcome series, abandoned cart or browse emails, and transactional emails in minutes from their library of pre-built automation available at your fingertips. You can preview your user details in one view, including their activity on the website, their email open and click action, their total spend, segments or groups they are on, and many more. Klaviyo has a built-in easy setup signup form to help you grow your database faster. Klaviyo’s user interface is exceptionally user-friendly; it is perfect for marketers who are not tech-savvy but still fancy to create sophisticated email journeys or EDM like the pros. Having said that, if you are interested to find out more about Klaviyo and how it can work for your eCommerce, Ematic can provide a demo, source, and onboard you properly in Klaviyo to make sure you make the right decision and get the best experience out of using the platform. Hi-iQ: An intelligent algorithm that maximizes the value of each subscriber

Email is one of the trickiest yet affordable marketing channels. Everyone’s using it but not everyone’s familiar with how to properly run it. Chances are, you will almost always face challenges such as low engagement rates, deliverability issues, how to properly nurture engaged and disengaged data, email platform cost that keep increasing, high unsubscription rate, and many more. Hi-iQ is an intelligent algorithm that was built exactly to help solve those problems, we think they are great, and here’s why: Hi-iQ is able to intelligently drill down into your data, learn it and identify those with a high propensity to engage every 24 hours. Naturally, if you are using the algorithm as your “target email segment”, It will help you to prevent sending wasted emails and save you some platform cost. The algorithm will create a custom-tailored treatment for each individual user for the purpose to restrict noise for them, which will help you mitigate risks of high unsubscription rates and prolong the longevity of the customer lifetime value. This also means that you don’t have to come up with your own email targeting strategy to prevent user fatigue. Hi-iQ also comes with its own data rehabilitation program that’s called “Long Term Reactivation (LTR)” which allows you to scale cheaper by automatically retiring the disengaged users, place them outside of your account in a non-billable state, and gradually bring them back when they are ready to be reactivated. Hi-iQ will ensure you are not sending to highly disengaged users that led to an account blocked or low email performance. Hi-iQ helps you to gradually improve your deliverability by having better email engagement and also reduces spam complaints. Lastly, Hi-iQ integrates with leading Email Sending Platforms including Mailchimp, Mailjet, Campaign Monitor, Iterable, Klaviyo, Oracle, Emarsys, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Adobe Campaign, and still growing! Furthermore, Hi-iQ offers a flexible pricing model that is suitable for every company on every growth stage. Iterable pulls down $200M, becomes a Two-nicorn

Hot on the heels of Klaviyo’s recent $320M round, Iterable barks back with a huge round of there own, reportedly coming in at $200M and valuing the business at $2bn. https://iterable.com/blog/our-next-chapter-series-e-funding-announcement/ We’ll need to start formally tracking, but this looks like the 3rd largest round for a messaging platform ever. Klaviyo set the new standard recently, and otherwise Campaign Monitor’s $250M all the way back in 2014 still stands in second place. Where Klaviyo has succeeded as the leader in ecommerce (particularly for Shopify users) Iterable has focused on being an indispensable component of the mobile growth stack, and takes an integration-first approach to allow marketers to quickly assemble a killer mobile marketing stack. Prediction: look for Braze to announce a new round soon. Messaging (and Email Marketing) are hot right now.

$150M for Amplitude at a whopping $4b valuation

The martech and analytics space remains quite hot with the latest announcement by Amplitude of $150M in funding that quadrupled their valuation from their previous round last year: https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2021-06-09/analytics-startup-amplitude-valued-at-4-billion-in-investment?sref=DJ6uFsR8 While the valuation looks a bit punchy, it definitely validates the Product Analytics space and we expect to see news from their key competitor Mixpanel on a new raise before long. Southeast Asia has been a bit behind the curve on adoption of Product Analytics tools as part of the Growth Stack, but that’s started to change in 2021 as more companies understand the power of enabling both product and marketing teams to access real-time insights into user behavior within their mobile apps.

We agree with Tealium: vendor neutrality and integrations are problematic for most marketers

Interesting research from Tealium – it’s US-centric but the challenges are equally applicable worldwide: https://tealium.com/press-releases/new-study-by-tealium-reveals-marketers-leaning-on-customer-data-platforms/ In particular, the “vendor neutrality” point hits home, with “more than half (53 percent) of marketers strongly agree their martech stacks are walled gardens, consisting of solutions from one vendor that have limited cross-compatibility with other solutions.” This is definitely a massive limitation when it comes to building a modern growth stack, as we view it as essential that all components are compatible with the broader ecosystem of technology a company has implemented, and furthermore the ability to change out components when something new or better-fit emerges is an absolute necessity. “Integration difficulties are common: Almost two-thirds (62 percent) of marketers say it’s difficult to integrate new third-party solutions into their martech stacks.” This is among the top problems Ematic Solutions is trying to solve for: by choosing technology that has strong integration capabilities in the first place, some of this can be alleviated. However, almost all marketers lack the engineering/IT resources to quickly add in new components to their growth stack, which is why Ematic has invested heavily in our Solutions Engineering team to help customers move faster and get it done correctly. Perhaps most importantly: whenever there is a problem with an integration between two tech products, it’s almost impossible to resolve by either vendor. One of Ematic’s unique value propositions is that we cut across technologies so we can see it from both sides and effectively troubleshoot the issue.

Aftership’s $66M raise continues to prove the power of the Shopify ecosystem

Shopify is becoming a bit of a “kingmaker” these days – the SaaS products that do well on Shopify’s marketplace are all raising a lot of money and growing very quickly: https://techcrunch.com/2021/04/22/e-commerce-tracking-platform-aftership-raises-66m-led-by-tiger-global/ Ematic has partnered with Aftership and they’re listed in our marketplace too – since they don’t offer any local customer success or support (nor do they have a sales team) you can contact Ematic if you’re interested to try it out.
